Happy St. PATRICK’S Day Everyone! It took me awhile to get this posted today cause I’ve been busy in the kitchen all day making goodies lol. Here’s one I wanted to make today, the all famous Irish Soda Bread. I tried to keep it most original to the old days. It’s mainly Whole Wheat and little all purpose with Caraway seeds and boiled raisins to soften them up. I don’t boil then for long though. And you make sure they are patted dry. Let’s get started.

Ingredients:

3cups whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking Soda
1/2 cup to 1 cup raisins, your choice
1 1/2- 2 cups buttermilk
2 tsp Caraway Seeds

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Sift the flours, salt, and baking soda into a large bowl.

Boil the raisins on low for about 4-5 minutes just to soften them up a bit…
